What are Social Impact Infrastructure Organizations? Social impact infrastructure organizations (SIIOs) are the accelerators, connectors, conveners, educators, platforms, orchestrators, researches, and trainers that enable the rest of us to effectively impact change. Some SIIOs help their funding members give away billions of dollars more effectively. Some increase social impact investments, accelerate innovations, improve the capacities of nonprofit and civil society organizations, partner with governments and other sectors, and more.

Why Support Social Impact Infrastructure Organizations?
Because of their far reach, there are times when even small grants to SIIOs can drive big results. We have collected numerous examples on our Stories of Impact Page.

Impact Finance Center

Leadership Development | Social Impact Investment

Impact Finance Center is a multi-university nonprofit academic center that identifies, trains, and activates individuals and organizations to become impact investors, helping them better align their assets with their values.

While most similar organizations work to increase the uptake of impact investing from foundations and educated investors, the Impact Finance Center (IFC) also reaches out to the public — many of whom know nothing about how to create a social impact with their money. (more…)
