The International Association for Volunteer Effort (IAVE) is a global network of volunteer leaders that works to create a more sustainable and just world. IAVE’s mission is to empower volunteers by supporting the organizations, leaders, and environments that do so. We have nurtured and grown volunteer leaders across the world, promoting the ideas and values of volunteering as the foundation of civil society

Activities & Programmes

IAVE is a global network of businesses, NGOs, and individual volunteer leaders that promotes, celebrates, and strengthens volunteering. IAVE’s activities include: Organizing regional and world conferences, Working with national leadership organizations for volunteering, Conducting research, Advocating for volunteering with the United Nations, and Convening the Global Corporate Volunteer Council.

IAVE’s World Volunteer Conferences have been held every two years since 1970. These conferences are a platform for global volunteer leaders to meet, share best practices, and discuss challenges and critical issues.
