Think Differently to
Orchestrate New Solutions!

Propel Philanthropy provides the fuel funders need to orchestrate powerful new solutions. We offer free listings for those interested in how thinking differently can lead to better results. We don’t help funders orchestrate solutions for a single nonprofit, problem, community, or environment. We help them positively impact many!

We scout for exceptional social ROI opportunities to achieve oversized impact by connecting the parts, forging collaborations, providing last-mile funding, fueling the rocket, or being the domino that creates an exceptionally positive chain reaction—sometimes with modest grants starting at $15,000.

Case Example: Two funders supported GivingTuesday to resource over 20,000 nonprofits with its online 12-part fundraising curriculum and AI bot. These two new services will not only bolster these nonprofits’ campaigns in the short term—they will continue to help them for years to come. These resources will increase the capacity of  countless nonprofits working to address a vast range of problems effectively. The total cost for these funders was $175,000.

Propel Philanthropy’s Mandate: To attract greater funding toward far-reaching solutions that strengthen and accelerate the social sector at large. The listings we provide serve this purpose.

The Problem
Some of the most transformative opportunities to create an oversized result don’t fit neatly within established funding priorities. When funders limit their focus to predetermined causes, they may unintentionally overlook initiatives that could create an exponential, far-reaching impact.

To illustrate this problem, let’s look at what happened to Bob.

Bob brings the proposal to his board. Everyone clearly sees an exciting and extraordinary opportunity to achieve a powerful cascading domino effect. The board agrees with Bob: the risks are minimal, the project is measurable, and the cost is low. But the proposal winds up in the trash. Why? It did not fit with their predetermined funding priorities.

Putting Aside Small Discretionary Funding
Consider putting aside even a small discretionary fund. Doing so puts you in a position to act quickly when you identify exciting and extraordinary opportunities that may sit outside of what you typically support.

Supporting the Social Sector
Many funders agree that we need more funding going toward strengthening infrastructure if we hope to accelerate the social sector. However, we often think of funding infrastructure as an obligation or a tax we don’t want to pay. But what if you could support the social sector and achieve a leveraged, cascading, domino effect at the same time? Propel Philanthropy is here to support funders interested in exploring this prospect further.
