Achieving Change Together!

Why We Created a Collaborative Media Campaign

  • We need to recognize that we are in a polycrisis, facing a barrage of interconnected challenges. While targeted, specialized efforts hold value and drive change, they alone are not enough. It’s imperative that we also enact big, broad, bold strategies. It is not about sidelining individual endeavors; it is about building the infrastructure to supercharge them, integrate efforts, and amplify our collective impact.

Time is of the essence, and failing to adequately invest in regenerative resources could cost us dearly. We possess the capacity to more than double the emergence of next-generation leaders. We have the means to exponentially increase global giving, volunteerism, impact investments, and groundbreaking innovations by 2023. We could significantly improve how millions of citizens give away money by the end of the decade if we sufficiently funded well-organized campaigns. We must not wait to move in these types of directions.

Social Impact Infrastructure Organizations (SIIOs) are our linchpins in this endeavor. They serve as the bedrock, enhancing and amplifying our collective efforts. For instance, the National Council on Foundations has elevated the philanthropic practices of thousands of foundations. TechSoup acts as a lifeline, supplying invaluable resources to hundreds of thousands of nonprofits active in 236 countries. GivingTuesday mobilized $3.1 billion in donations in 2022. These are examples of building regenerative resources that enable us to tackle diverse aspects of the polycrisis head-on.

    Our Collaborative Media Campaign

With sufficient support, Propel Philanthropy could become a leading dissemination vehicle of blog posts, articles, and videos that draw attention to the potential of implementing big, broad, bold solutions. Together, we could in time help many funders appreciate the value of investing in building the infrastructure that creates the connective tissue we need.
